We offer Langmuir and Langmuir-Blodgett systems of the market leader KSV NIMA. Langmuir film fabrication and Langmuir film characterization at the air-liquid interface, as well as Langmuir-Blodgett film deposition is a task covered by the different devices like: L and LB systems as well as by related characterization instruments like Brewster angle microscope, Polarisation Modulation Infrared Reflection Spectrometer (PM-IRRAS) and Interfacial Shear Rheometer.

The KSV NIMA MicroBAM is easy-to-use, entry level instruments for non-invasive imaging of mono-molecular layers at the air-water interface. The excellent image quality and good lateral resolution make them ideal instruments for the visualization of morphological film parameters (e.g. compressed film homogeneity, domain size, shape and packing). Real-time observation and recording of film structure enables dynamic activity to be captured.

The PM-IRRAS is an infrared spectrometer specifically for IR analysis of monolayers floating on an aqueous subphase or deposited on reflective substrates. It is highly sensitive and very surface specific enabling measurements in ambient conditions. The innovative goniometric configuration allows easy angle adjustment and fast setup time.

The Interfacial Shear Rheometer (ISR) provides an accurate and quantitative method to measure the shear properties of fluid interfaces (gas/liquid or liquid/liquid). The ISR can be combined with a KSV NIMA Langmuir trough, allowing measurements on both soluble and insoluble films.
